New Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton insists that interference by external forces at the senior national team will be a thing of the past.
Chris Hughton’s comments came as a response to questions on how he intends to deal with individuals in positions of power or authority who try to exert their will on decisions he will take.
There have been rumors that the current leadership at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) influences player selections for the Black Stars.
This phenomenon is most often than not said to be one of the reasons the team failures to perform creditably at major competitions.
In his response to the question, the experienced manager insisted that he is unable to speak to things that happened in the past but can assure that he will be the man in charge of his team stressing that the said interference will remain in the past.
He said he cannot speak to what happened in the past and now that he is the head coach he is certain interference will be a thing of the past.
Chris Hughton and his assistants, George Boateng and Didi Dramani have all signed a 21-month contract.
