Former deputy Minister for Communications, Victoria Hamah has said that it is a mark of ignorance for anyone to shed tears over the death of anyone.
In her view, the painful incidents that cause people to shed tears should rather be used for introspection on one’s impending death given that life in and of itself is a mirage.
Miss Hamah wrote on her Facebook wall that to cry when people die is a sign of ignorance and that life is nothing but an illusion.
She advised that the time spent crying should be used to reflect on one’s own mortality.
The comments by Victoria Hamah come in the wake of the tragic death and mourning of former Black Stars winger Christian Atsu by people all over the world.
Christian Atsu died when the apartment building he was living in collapsed on him as a result of the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria a little over a week ago.
The body of the former Black Stars player was found under rubble over a week after the 7.3 magnitude earthquake that stuck on 6 February 2023.
