Kamaldeen Sulemana, say it was a dream come true for him to have played at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
He featured in two of Ghana’s group matches; Ghana’s 3-2 win over the Republic of Korea and also in the 2-0 loss to Uruguay in the final group match.
The young winger earned a winter transfer to English Premier League side Southampton after seeing his playing time limited upon his return from the World Cup.
He told the BBC that he believes the youngsters in the squad for the World Cup have learned a lot. He said that they kept the ball to the ground and displayed to the world what Africans can do. He believes the future of the team is bright.
Sulemana revealed that he was a 16-year-old who was then at Nordsjælland academy when the World Cup in Russia was held and had to watch on television. He feels it is a blessing to have had the great experience of the World Cup.
Kamaldeen Sulemana is yet to make his debut for his new team Southampton.
