It’s Highly Unfair To Call For Agyeman Manu’s Removal, He Acted For Ghana’s Good – Ken Ofori-Atta

Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has described calls by a section of Ghanaians asking the Health Minister to resign as unfair.

Ken Ofori-Atta says the Health Minister acted under pressure, and it’s only fair that citizens appreciate his effort due to the circumstances that surrounded the procurement of the Sputnik V vaccines.

This comes after a section of Ghanaians, including the minority in Parliament, asked for the removal of the Health Minister for procuring 300,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccines without the approval of Parliament.

Speaking in an interview on Asaase Radio, Mr. Ofori-Atta says calls from Ghanaians for the removal of the Health Minister is an indication that they do not appreciate the decision he took in the interest.

He posited that the Mr. Agyemang Manu had no option at the time than to take the decision.

‘I’m empathizing and I expect others will realize the type of pressure that Mr. Agyemang Manu was under and his commitment to ensuring that the Ghanaian people are safe. He stated.
