Famous Ghanaian musician Jackie Acheampong well known in showbiz as Gyakie has said that it’s tough being a celebrity because she can no longer do the normal things she used to do without being scrutinized.
She lamented about how she can no longer buy her favourite food by the roadside because of her current status although she used to do it with ease before hitting the limelight.
Gyakie disclosed that there is a woman in her neighbourhood who sells Gari and beans, a local dish she likes so much which she used to patronize before hitting stardom but can’t go there anymore because of her status.
“There is this woman in my neighbourhood who sells fried plantain and beans and it is one food that I really like apart from fufu but these days I can no longer go there to buy,” she said on Kastle FM.
“Because if I go there to buy and I meet about 50 people there I would wait till they all finish buying before it gets to my turn but now I can’t go again she told the host, she stated.
“Besides I’m the type that if we order for food I like to see the food and choose my choice but now I can’t do that. Nowadays, when you’re walking in town you have to check yourself because someone can put a camera on you unknowingly, Gyakie added.
