Ex-Ghana international, Augustine Arhiful has expressed his sadness at the passing of former Black Stars winger Christian Atsu.
In an interview on Orignal FM, Augustine Arhiful said it is very painful hearing of Atsu’s passing in Turkey. He extended his condolences to the bereaved family of the footballer.
While expressing his condolences to the bereaved family he explained that it was a very painful experience and wished Atsu a perfect and peaceful rest and handing everything over to the creator of the universe.
Arhinfil revealed that he has had experiences with earthquakes and tremors during his playing time in Turkey. He stressed that it is a very serious tragedy and prayed that Ghanaians living in Turkey would be very careful during such natural disasters.
Christian Atsu is part of over 40,000 people who have been estimated to have died in the deadly category 7.8 earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria on 6 February.
His death was announced on Saturday 18 February, after his lifeless body was found under the rubble of his apartment.
