Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah is  celebrating her birthday today, and she has flooded social media with some delectable photos.

Jackie turn 38 years today, December 5, and she took to her official verified Instagram handle to share some stunning photos to celebrate her special day.

Despite advancing in years, the actress still manages to look sensational and delectable in these photos, as she also remembered to praise herself on her big day by giving all the glory to God for being merciful on her.

According to the gorgeous actress, she is not just a year older, but also a year better and happier.

Sharing the first photo, she wrote; “I am not just a year older but also a year better and happier. Happy birthday to me

Another post, she wrote; “It’s another 365 days of my life to give thanks to God for He has brought me this far. Happy birthday to myself

Jackie Appiah is a Ghanaian Canadian, as she was born on December 5, 1983, in Toronto. She is the last of five children. Furthermore, she spent her early childhood in Canada, and moved to Ghana with her mother at age 10.

Jackie Appiah married Peter Agyemang in 2005 and has one son, Damien. They divorced after three years of marriage. Appiah’s father is Kwabena Appiah (the younger brother of the late Joe Appiah, a famous lawyer in Kumasi) currently residing in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Jackie Appiah’s appearance on screen became regular when she was invited by Edward Seddoh Junior, the writer of Things We Do For Love, where she played the role of Enyonam Blagogee. She later took part in Tentacles, Games People Play, Sun-city and many other TV series.

Appiah remembers herself as being very shy the first time she went on set. According to Jackie, her best part was in Mummy’s Daughter by Venus Films. The film tells the story of the Bartels Family, where she played the role of Princess, the daughter.

Appiah’s face can be seen on many billboards and TV commercials in Ghana, including a GSMF advert on protection against HIV AIDS. She won the face of U.B in a promotion she did for them on TV commercials, and she is currently the face of IPMC for commercials and billboards. “GSMF ” was her first TV commercial.
