Jason Day was born on 12 November 1987 in Beaudesert, Queensland, Australia. He is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour.
In June 2011, Day broke into the world’s top ten for the first when after finishing as runner-up at the U.S Open he rose to world number nine. He attained the ranking of world number one in the world Golf Ranking in September 2015.
Day was introduced to the game of tennis by his late father who enrolled him at the Beaudesert Golf Club as a junior member at the age of six.
He attended Kooralbyn International School and Hills International College; both schools had golf programs that aided him in his development.
Day whose nicknames include J.D. and Jay Day has golfing legend Tiger Woods as his career inspiration. He turned professional in July 2006 after winning the Green Jacket at the NEC Master of the Amateurs.
Day lives in Forest Lake, Queensland, Australia, and Westerville, Ohio, U.S.

Dening Day and Alvin Day are the mother and father of Jason Day respectively.
Alvin was Irish Australian and it was he who enrolled Jason in a golfing club.
He died of stomach cancer when Jason was 12 years old.
