Jean-Luc Brunel was a French model scout and modelling agency manager. He was born in 1946, in Paris, France, as a child of Jewish parents. His father was a real estate executive. He has one brother, Arnaud.
He was a household name when he headed the modeling company Karin Models, and founded MC2 Model Management, with funding from Jeffrey Epstein, and which had offices located in New York, Miami, and Tel Aviv.
A victim of an 60 Minutes investigation in 1988, Brunel faced allegations of sexual assault that spanned three decades. Brunel was scrutinized due to his connections to Epstein, who he worked with between the beginning of 2000 and the year 2015.
Brunel was accused of enlisting young females as well as participating in the alleged sex-trafficking band that was run by Epstein.
In the year 2019, French National Police launched an investigation into Brunel after his disappearance to hide following the death of Epstein. Brunel was detained on December 16, 2020, and was charged with sexual assault of children by French prosecutors.
