Jeanine Ferris Pirro is an American television broadcaster, author, politician and former judge in the state of New York. She was born on June 2, 1951. Pirro hosted Justice with Judge Jeanine on the Fox News Channel until 2022, when she switched over to co-host The Five.
She contributed often to NBC News and frequently appeared on The Today Show. She was also Westchester County’s first elected female judge. Pirro was chosen as Westchester County’s first female district attorney.
Pirro achieved notoriety in instances involving abuse of the aged and domestic violence while serving as district attorney. In 2006, Pirro briefly ran for the Republican nomination for the US Senate against Hillary Clinton but withdrew from the race to accept the candidacy for New York Attorney General.
However, she lost the general election to Democrat Andrew Cuomo.
