Jeff Carson was born on December 16, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States. He started his career as a session musician in Branson Missouri and then became a demo singer. In 1995, Curb Records signed him to their self-titled debut album. Then, in 1998, Butterfly Kisses and Real Life followed.
He charted 14 singles on the Billboard country charts, including the Number One hit “Not on Your Love”, the Top Ten hits “The Car” and “Holdin’ Onto Somethin'”, and the Top 20 “Real Life (I Never Was the Same Again)”.
In 2009, he retired from music and became a police officer. He died from a severe heart attack on March 26, 2022, at the age of 58.
