American singer and actress, Jennifer Hudson is now the latest star to join the exclusive club of EGOT winners and the second black woman to achieve the feat.
The singer won her Tony Award yesterday for producing A Strange Loop with Michael R. Jackson.
The 40-year-old star took the Broadway honors for the production which won the best musical at the awards making her the second black woman after Whoopi Goldberg and the 17th to win an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Toby awards – four of the main showbiz awards in America.
Jennifer Hudson won her Oscar in 2006 with the film Dreamgirls and won two Grammys as well as a Daytime Emmy last year as the executive producer of fan-favorite, Baba Yaga.
Jennifer had been part of a list of 35 producers who had worked on the musical, A Strange Loop including RuPaul and Don Cheadle which won her the award.
