Jeremie Frimpong Trains Ahead Of Leverkusen’s Game Against Ferencvaros

Enterprising right-back Jeremie Frimpong took part in Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s final training session on Wednesday ahead of their Europa League clash with Ferencvárosi on Thursday evening.

The youngster picked up an injury against Hertha Berlin in the league but his manager Xabi Alonso revealed that the player was fine.

The former Liverpool midfielder said that it is good news for his side that the Frimpong has no injury.

Jeremie Frimpong was substituted after playing 29 minutes in the 4-1 demolishing of Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian assisted Sardar Azmoun with an excellent pass before scoring a goal himself to give the Werkself a two-goal cushion in the first half. He was seen grabbing his right thigh and limping off the field later.

Alonso told DAZN that he is fine and that he was just a bit tired.

Striker Dodi Lukebakio netted the only consolation goal for Hertha Berlin in the 67th minute.

Jeremie Frimpong has played 23 times in the league this season, scoring six goals, and assisting five.
