Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill was born on 28 January 1986 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England.
She is a British retired track and field athlete from England. She was a multiple events specialist and a 100 meters hurdler.
Ennis-Hill is a three-time world heptathlon champion and an Olympic gold medalist. In 2010 she won the world indoor pentathlon. She is a former British record holder for heptathlon and 100 meters hurdles.
Ennis-Hill currently runs an app that is focused on women’s health and commentates for the British Broadcasting Corporation.
Her parents introduced her to the sports of athletics when they took her to a Start Track even during the school’s summer holidays of 1996. She joined the City of Sheffield and Dearne Athletic Club at age 11.
