Born on October 17, 1941, in Sidney, Texas, United States, Jim of music duo Seals and Crofts was the lead vocalist of the pair, known for hits such as Summer Breeze and Diamond Girl.
Seals and Croft was a popular 1970s band that spawned hits such as Summer Breeze and Diamond Girl.
Together with Dash Crofts, Seals helped define soft rock in the 1970s.
Summer Breeze in 1972 was their first major hit, selling over a million copies. The next year saw the release of Diamond Girl, which was also a hit, making it to No 4 in the US.
