Nigerian rap artist and music producer, JJC Skillz, known privately as Abdulrasheed Bello, has announced his return to Islam, the religion his father adhered to.
JJC Skillz who is the husband of famous Nigerian actress turned politician Funke Akindele, made the revelation is series of post on his Instagram page, plus an interview he had with an Islamic online platform, Muslim News.
Bello, stated how he was born into a mixed religion family, but never practiced his father’s religion choosing his mother’s faith instead. He said he was lost and now is found, and asks to to be pardoned and favored in this life and the next by the supreme being.
He asked Allah to veil his weakness, set his dismay at ease, and preserve him from behind and the front.
In an interview with the Islamic online platform, Muslim News, JJC Skillz said that it has always been God’s design for him to return to the religion of Islam.
Abdulrasheed Bello revealed that he was born a Muslim. His father whose name he said is Bello, is a Muslim while his mother is a Christian. He also revealed that he used to go to Islamiyah but has memories of him being beaten.
The artist stated that while he attended Islamiyah,he was scared with hellfire.
