The NPP’s Communications Director has asserted that the former President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama cannot give Ghanaians good health but he can collapse National Health Insurance Authority.
“We’re not frightened by John Mahama. We know he cannot give you a good education, we know he cannot give you good health, he will collapse NHIA. We know he cannot manage the economy. Interest rates, inflation will go up, growth will drop and we’ll go back to the IMF”.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday 20th August 2021, he stated that his party folks are also aware that John Mahama cannot manage the economy because interest rates, inflation will go up, growth drops and the country may go back to IMF if Mahama assumes office.
He mentioned that the agenda 111 threatens the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) chance of winning the 2024 elections.
He says that if John Mahama keeps saying that the country is hard some Ghanaians may tend to believe it if they keep hearing the same thing over and over again.
“We are not frightened of John Mahama, we know he cannot manage the economy, so we can’t let him poison your minds because if you’re sitting your somewhere and they keep telling you ‘oh it is bad, Ghana is hard, there is corruption, Ghana is hard’. Then sometimes, you think it’s true. So we have to speak back,” he stated at a press conference on Friday.
He added that the NDC party keeps making criticisms about Nana Addo’s agenda 111 initiative because they know it will affect them in 2024 election.
