Johnny Bilton Wockenfuss was born on 27 February 1949 in Welch, West Virginia.
He was an American professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball and managed in the minor league.
Wockenfuss was one of the best all-around athletes produced by John Dickinson High School in Wilmington, Delaware. He lettered in football, basketball, baseball, and track.
Wockenfuss played in multiple positions and was noted to have an unorthodox batting stance and strong throwing arm. He played professionally for the Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies.
He opened a pizzeria with his brother in Christiana, Delaware.
After his playing career ended, Wochenfuss ventured into management where he worked with the Lakeland Tigers in the minor league.
He was inducted into the Delaware Sports Hall of Fame in 1993.
