Jon Stewart Kids: Meet Maggie Rose Stewart and Nathan Thomas Stewart
Jon Stewart and his wife, Tracey McShane, have two children together named Maggie Rose Stewart and Nathan Thomas Stewart. They welcomed these two children into their family after getting married in 2000.
Nathan Thomas Stewart
Jon Stewart and Tracey McShane welcomed their first child, Nathan, in 2004, around four years after their marriage. Despite Nathan’s privacy, his mother often shares glimpses of him on social media, particularly during his pre-teen years.
In a charming Instagram post from May 2016, Nathan was photographed alongside an adorable cow during a visit to @farmsanctuary. Tracey captioned the post, “Nate and I just got back from spending time with some of our dearest friends up at @farmsanctuary.”
When Nathan was born, his father was in his 40s and had been hosting The Daily Show for about five years. Another memorable moment was captured in September 2016 when Nathan was pictured feeding a baby sheep on his mother’s veterinary account.
Tracey reflected on the round-the-clock bottle-feeding of the sheep, expressing gratitude for the involvement of other caregivers, including family members. She captioned the heartwarming snapshot with “Round the clock bottle-feeding made it a necessity to include other caregivers, and fortunately there was no shortage of family members that wanted to pitch in. #TBT #dountoanimals #rescuesheep #elizasheep #farmsanctuary.”
Maggie Rose Stewart
Two years after the birth of their son Nathan, Jon and his wife joyfully announced the arrival of their daughter, Maggie Rose Stewart, in 2006. At the time, Jon, then 42, shared his mix of excitement and nerves about raising a girl during an interview with David Letterman, as reported by PEOPLE.
Reflecting on his limited knowledge about women, Jon humorously remarked, “I don’t know that much about women.” He expressed confidence in dealing with a boy’s issues by suggesting he could advise him to “repress it,” drawing from his own experiences.
Jon anticipated that any suppressed emotions might surface years later during a family dinner, jokingly illustrating a common scenario. However, he humorously pondered the challenge of understanding his daughter’s interests, such as having tea parties with her panda, suggesting uncertainty about how to navigate those moments.
Similar to her older brother, Maggie often makes appearances on her mother’s Instagram account. In September 2016, Tracey shared photos of Maggie spending time with a horse from the foundation @minihorseheroes, dedicated to Police Officer Ken Tietjen’s memory. Tracey captioned the images, “My daughter and husband spent the day traveling around with @minihorseheroes – a foundation in memory of Police Officer Ken Tietjen – bringing smiles to NY police officers and firemen. Hamlet and Honor on board!”
Another adorable snapshot posted by Tracey showcased Maggie with her father, Jon, later that same month. Captioning the heartwarming moment, Tracey wrote, “These two spread a lot of nice on a day when it was really needed.”
