Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah was instrumental in the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer.
Jonathan Mensah played the entire duration of the matches in which he completed 69 out of 77 passes created one chance and made two clearances, four ball recoveries, and three aerial duels won.
He also had 83 touches and six final-third passes during the match.
Mensah was very immense throughout the match which saw Cristian Espinoza score the decisive goal in the 78th minute.
This is the third straight game he has played for San Jose Earthquakes since he joined from Columbus Crew.
In the team’s bid to climb up the league log, Mensah’s consistency is key to its progress.
Las Abubakar, who is also a Ghanaian, Started for Colorado Rapids but was substituted in the 39th minute due to an injury.
With six points so far, San Jose Earthquakes are fourth on the league table.
