Joshua James Duggar is an American sexual offender who has been convicted of sex crimes and former reality TV personality from the TLC show 19 Kids and Counting.
The eldest of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s 19 children, Josh Duggar was the executive director of FRC Action, a lobbying political action committee (PAC) that was sponsored by the Family Research Council, from June 2013 to May 2015.
He resigned from the position after it was revealed that he sexually assaulted several girls of a different age including a girl who was less than five years old, at the time he was 14-15 years.
The revelations also led to the cancellation of 19 Kids and Counting on July 16, 2015. Duggar’s publicity woes were named as one of the “10 Big Scandals of 2015” by USA Today, and The Washington Post identified Duggar in the top 15 most hated individuals on the Internet during the year.
On the 29th of April 2021 Duggar was arrested by U.S. Marshals on charges of receiving and possessing child pornography.
The judge found him guilty of all charges on the 9th of December 2021. He was sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison on May 25, 2022.
