Judy Tenuta was an American comedian of Italian and Polish descent. Tenuta described herself as the ” Love Goddess”.
She was a standup comedian who added the accordion to her craft. She got her start in comedy at Chicago’s iconic The Second City.
Tenuta played the lead in the HBO special ” Women of the Night ” which featured Paula Poundstone and Rita Rudner.
She featured in commercials for Diet Dr Pepper and MTV.
Tenuta died of ovarian cancer on Thursday 6 October 2022. She was 72.
