American rapper Kanye West has proven himself as a master of disguise as he unexpectedly showed up at the BET Awards 2022 with his face entirely covered.
Taraji P. Henson did the honors of hosting the event, which honors Black brilliance in music, TV, cinema, sport, and showbiz. The star-studded awards presentation began on Sunday evening at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Hip-hop mogul Diddy, who earned the lifetime achievement award for his immense influence on society dating back to the heyday of his label Bad Boy Records in the 1990s, had a particularly historic night.
Kanye, 45, surprised everyone by showing up to deliver Diddy, 52, the prize. However, as we all know Kanye, he took the time to make a stance as she claimed his fair share of the spotlight by donning an all-black outfit with a mask and a pair of sunglasses.
“How do we crown our kings? How do we appreciate our kings? I go to him for advice to this day. He inspires so many of my choices, so many of my life choices. My wife choices, thanks for that, Puff,” Kanye said as he introduced Diddy to the stage.
