Construction on Kanye West’s roughly $60 million Malibu property is still far from complete and might not be complete for some time.
The seaside house was previously purchased by the 45-year-old performer in 2021, and renovations have been ongoing for personal usage ever since.
However, recent pictures show that the intended home’s upgrades are still far from finished, with a tarp covering the house’s gutted interior and a table and desk occupying its top levels.
According to Dirt, West first came across Tadao Ando’s work when visiting the art island of Naoshima, where it is prominently displayed. Ando designed West’s home. The proposed home is just one of a select few projects the Pritzker Prize winner has created in the country.
The 3,665 square foot home with 4.5 baths and a total of 4 bedrooms was built on a 5,672 square foot lot.
West reduced the price of the house down from its initial outstanding $75 million asking price to $57.3 million.
