Katerina Tikhonova is a Russian scientist, manager, and former acrobatic dancer. She is the second daughter of Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Tikhonova is the head of the Innopraktika company that unites two programs from Moscow State University: the National Intellectual Development Foundation (NIDF) and the National Intellectual Reserve Centre (NIRC).
She is also the Deputy Director for the Institute for Mathematical Research of Complex Systems located at Moscow State University.
Her family relocated to Saint Petersburg in the spring of 1991. Then, during the brutal gang wars that involved Tambov Gang while it was controlling the St. Petersburg’s energy trade, she and her sister Maria were escorted to their dad because he was worried for their security to Germany in the presence of their legal guardian was the former Stasi Matthias Warnig.
