Keely Nicole Hodgkinson is an English athlete who specializes in the 800m. She beat the British record set by Kelly Holmes in 1995 by winning the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics at the age of 19.
Hodgkinson recorded one of the fastest times for a debutant in the 800 meters at an Olympics and European Championships. This is largely due to her performances in Tokyo and indoors as a junior. Both of these performances set European U20 records.
She won the Diamond League that year and became the youngest woman to win the European indoor 800m title. She established the British 800 m indoor record in February 2022, moving up to sixth on the all-time global list. At the 2022 World Championships, Hodgkinson finished in second place behind Athing Mu.
Hodgkinson won the 800m U18 European championship at age 16 and finished third the year after.
