Shatta Wale has been lambasted by Outspoken media personality, Kelvin Taylor following his comments on the #FixTheCountry campaign that has been in existence on social media for months now.
The campaign aims at drawing the government’s attention to sensitive issues facing the country and jeopardizing the development of the country.
Unlike some Ghanaian celebrities who have carefully analyzed the online protest by sharing their ideas and what the people and the government need to do for the betterment of the country, Shatta Wale rather lambasted the protestors on social media.
Shatta Wale who seems to be a sympathizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has stated his reasons for believing that the #FixTheCountry campaign is just a waste of time.
In his previous posts on Facebook, Shatta Wale advised the conveners to be more specific with their demands while calling on the government to address them.
For instance, he stated that if the campaigners would draw the attention of the government to the problems facing one particular geographical area, they would be able to come up with ideas on how to tackle them rather than asking them to fix the entire country at once.
Well, Shatta Wale finally lost his cool as he describes the campaigners as educated fools and disappointed graduates, adding that they should fix themselves before asking the government to fix the country.
Kelvin Taylor has joined some of the industry players who think that Shatta Wale’s comments were inappropriate and insensitive.
According to Kelvin Taylor, Shatta Wale is being childish by using his platform to pass unnecessary comments about the current happenings in the country.
He advised Shatta Wale to come out and apologize to the people on social media for his comments and also use his influence to speak on behalf of the people.
