Kenneth George Douglas ONZ was born on 15 November 1935 in Wellington, New Zealand. He was a New Zealand trade unionist and leader.
Douglas attended Cashmere Primary School, Northland School, and Wellington College for his primary and college education respectively.
After college, he took jobs as a wharf worker and woolclasser before taking up truck driving.
Kenneth got married in 1956 to Lesley Winter with whom he had four children. He divorced his wife in 1986.
Douglas was baptized a Catholic and was the leader of the Socialist Unity Party in the 1970s and 1980s.
