Kimmo Blom was a singer and stage performer who was born on January 31, 1970.
Blom was a member of the rock and metal bands Urban Tale, Boys of the Band, Heartplay, Stratovarius, Thunderstone, Kiuas, Ari Koivunen, Timo Tolkki’s Avalon, and Twilight Guardians.
He has been the lead vocalist of the melodic metal band Leverage and the Finnish Christmas metal project Raskasta Joulua for many years.
Blom finished fifth at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015, representing Finland with the song “All For Victory.”
The following year, he finished fifth in the Eurovision Song Contest, representing Finland, with the song “Good Enough,” which he performed with Annica Milán.
Blom died in August 2022, following a long battle with cancer. He was 52 years old.
His partner, singer Annica Milán, confirmed his death. Blom was diagnosed with a rare conjunctival melanoma in 2015, according to her.
