Born Dieuson Octave, Bill Kahan Kapri widely known as Kodak Black was born on 11 June 1997 in Pompano Beach, Florida.
He is an American rapper who came to prominence when his single “No Flockin” was released in 2014.
His first two albums, Painting Pictures (2017) and Dying to Live (2018) peaked at number three and number one respectively on the US Billboard 200.
In order to enhance his vocabulary, Kodak who began rapping when he was in elementary, read thesauruses and dictionaries. He was always involved in fights and in fifth grade was expelled from schooling for fighting and arrested for auto theft when he was in middle school.
Kodak Black was studying for his high school diploma at Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach before his incarceration. He however earned his GED in June 2018 while in prison.
Kodak Black was shot during a fight outside a Los Angeles Italian restaurant on 12 February 2022.
