Kuami Eugene Breaks Silence Over 8-month ‘Disappearance’

Ghanaian Highlife artist Kuami Eugene has explained the reason behind his long absence from the limelight and media.

In response to a question by Giovani Caleb on why he has been off the radar for some time, Eugene revealed that it was a result of the deal he had with an American record label.

According to him, it was a move by the PR team at the record label to clean his image and reposition his brand and public image.

He said that the label is trying as much as possible to stay away from interviews to avoid the negativities that come out from the interviews he does.

Kuami Eugene added that sometimes even before he leaves an interview, he is trending for his choice of clothes or that he has stolen a song and they can’t blame the system so in order to stop the bad news they had to minimize the interviews.

The artist has been mired in controversies in the past with some persons accusing him of plagiarism.
