Emmanuel Kofi Botwe known in showbiz as Kwaw Kesse claims to have won a staggering GHS66,370.51 for placing a bet.
The economy is heading in the wrong direction, so many youths are turning to gambling to make quick money. Celebs are also part of the betting franchise.
Remember that Shatta Wale also won a bet of GHS33,000 as he flaunted the slip on social media.
Kwaw Kese also caused a stir on social media when he revealed that his bet won him a fortune.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the Ghanaian hiplife artist wrote: “If I charge you for odds, you go pay???”
A curious fan asked him about the amount he used in staking the bet, and he replied that he used GHS1400.00.
My humble advice for the youth is to be careful of how these celebs claiming they are winning bets with screenshots which can probable be photoshopped.
As you know, The Gaming commission has banned celebrities from advertising or being a brand ambassador for betting companies due to the increasing number of celebrities endorsing betting companies – an action many says could lure young fans into gambling.
So, this could be another strategy of the celebrities using to advertise for the betting companies.
