La Liga Plans To Launch A Grassroots Football Initiative In Ghana

Spanish Premier League known worldwide as La Liga is on the verge of launching La Liga Grassroots in Ghana; it is a program they believe will present football talents from all over the country the chance to advance in their career.

Ghana is known across the globe for its immense wealth of football talent.

Officials from La Liga Ghana and Nigeria on Wednesday had an interactive session with Ghanaian reporters in Accra to discuss the grassroots initiative.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association were also represented in the discussions with the La Liga Grassroots.

The communications and projects coordinator for Liga Liga Grassroots Ayodeji Adegbenro speaking at the event said they thought of this stuff in Nigeria and some other parts of Africa but we are keen to actually start with Ghana because Ghana is a very important country to LaLiga and the LaLiga projects.

He also added that they had the project in South Africa, Zambia, Nigeria, and Cameroon but do not have Ghana yet but hopefully, very soon Ghana will show up.

He gave an example of one of their projects which is LaLiga egalite in Cameroon.
He disclosed that it is basically a youth league for girls that started about two years ago.
