Lorenzo Musetti is an Italian professional tennis player who was born on March 3, 2002, in Carrara, Italy.
He has a career-high singles ATP ranking of World No. 56 which was achieved on March 7, 2022, and a doubles ranking of World No. 304 which was also achieved on June 21, 2021.
Musetti trains at La Spezia TC and Tirrenia.
After receiving a wildcard and passing the qualifying stage, he was able to make the ATP Tour main draw debut in February 2020 at the Dubai Tennis Championships at the age of 17, which he fell in the first round to Andrey Rublev.
The main draw’s second tour-level game and his first at the Masters 1000 level in his career began after qualifying for the Italian Open, where he defeated three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka in straight sets in the initial round.

Musetti has achieved a career-high ITF juniors ranking of number 1 worldwide on the 10th of June 2019. On January 26, 2019, Musetti beat Emilio Nava to win the 2019 Australian Open boys’ singles title.
At the start of the 2022 season, he made the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 Rotterdam Open, losing to Jiri Lehecka, after defeating No. 11 Hubert Hurkacz in the second round.
The following day in Monte Carlo, Musetti recorded the second top 10 victory in his career, defeating the world’s number 9 Felix Auger-Aliassime in the 2nd round.
