Lori was the wife of Tom McClintock, an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for California’s 4th congressional district since 2009.
His district stretches from the Sacramento suburbs to the outer suburbs of Fresno; it includes Yosemite National Park.
Tom as a member of the Republican Party served as a California state assemblyman from 1982 to 1992 and from 1996 to 2000, when he became a California state senator, a position he held until 2008.
He unsuccessfully ran for governor of California in the 2003 recall election and for lieutenant governor of California in the 2006 election.

Tom McClintock’s wife Lori died on December 15, 2021, at the age of 61 at her home in Sacramento after taking Chinese herbal weight loss treatment white mulberry leaf.
She suffered severe dehydration caused by gastroenteritis, according to her autopsy.
Lori had consumed white mulberry leaf not long before she died. The Chinese herb is used for weight loss and to manage diabetes, but it is not FDA-approved as a supplement.
