Lorraine Kelly Forced to Miss Itv Show After Testing Positive For COVID With Carol Vorderman Stepping In Last Minute

Lorraine Kelly has acknowledged that she tested positive for Covid over the weekend and had to reschedule her ITV show appearance.

The 62-year-old morning host confirmed the information on Twitter but told viewers that she would be hosting her named program “very soon.”

Until Lorraine recovers, Carol Vorderman, a former Countdown presenter, will serve as the show’s host.

“Well the Covid has finally got me and I tested positive at the weekend. Thanks to the vaccine it’s not too bad and I hope to be back at work very soon. Huge thanks to @carolvorders who will be hosting @lorraine until I’m back,” she revealed ina tweet.

This comes after the announcement that Boris Johnson will be stepping down as prime minister caused Lorraine’s ITV daytime show to be canceled midway through Thursday’s edition.

When word arrived that they would be going to ITV News live to cover the Prime Minister’s impending resignation, the presenter was just getting started with an interview with JLS star Aston Merrygold.
