Born on July 22, 1934, in Birmingham, Alabama, United States, Estelle Louise Fletcher was an American actress. She has passed away at the age of 88.
After surviving two bouts of breast cancer, the actress died of natural causes at her home in Montdurausse, France, on September 23, 2022, according to her son Andrew Bick who told The Hollywood Reporter.
Fletcher who received an honorary degree from Gallaudet University in 1982, is best known for her portrayal of Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress, a BAFTA Award, and a Golden Globe Award.
