Louise Minchin Biography
Louise Mary Minchin is a British television presenter, journalist, and former news anchor who is now a freelancer with the BBC. In the year 2012 Minchin was a frequent anchor for the BBC One program Breakfast as well as co-hosting the show three days per week along with Dan Walker.
On June 8, 2021, Minchin made it clear live on the air that she would be going away from BBC Breakfast “after the summer,” after hosting the show for twenty years (at first, as an interim host). Her last appearance on the program took place on September 15, 2021.
From 2009 until 2012, Minchin co-hosted Real Rescues alongside Nick Knowles and Chris Hollins. Minchin was a guest host on The One Show a number of times since the year 2010.
Minchin was born Louise Mary Grayson in 1968 in British Hong Kong to a Major in the Irish Guards of the British Army. She attended St Mary’s College, Ascot, and holds a degree in Spanish in the University of St Andrews. She later completed her studies in journalistic studies in The London College of Communication.
