Madeline Groves was born on 25 May 1995 in Brisbane, Australia. She is an Australian competitive swimmer.
She has been the Australian national champion in the 200m butterfly for four consecutive years; 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Groves won gold with the Australian freestyle relay team and bronze in the 200-meter butterfly event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
She attended Wilston State Primary School and St Peters Lutheran College.
Madeline earned a Georgina Hope Rinehart Swimming Excellence Scholarship to study for a Bachelor of Social Science degree at Bond University.
Groves who started competitive swimming at the tender age of five is currently being coached by Michael Bohl.
