Madison Keys was born on 17 February 1995 in Rock Island, Illinois.
She is an American professional tennis player who in October 2016 attained her career-highest ranking of world No.7 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).
She has six WTA championship titles under her belt; her biggest career title wins to date was at the 2019 Cincinnati Master.
Keys, who revealed that she was inspired to play tennis when she saw the dresses Venus Williams wore at Wimbledon on TV, started taking tennis lessons at the age of seven and was participating in competitions at age nine.
Madison turned professional on 17 February 2009 at age 14.
She is currently coached by Georgi Rumenov. She is an aggressive baseliner and prefers hard courts.
Key clothing and shoes have been sponsored by Nike since she turned professional, while her racquets are provided for by Wilson.
Madison is also an ambassador for the French water company Evian.
