Mate Pavic was born on 4 July 1993 in Split, Croatia. He is a Croatian professional tennis player. He is a former world number 1 tennis player in doubles.

With the 2018 Australian Open, 2020 US Open, and the 2021 Wimbledon Champions which he won with Oliver Marach, Bruno Soares, and Nikola Mektic respectively in his trophy cabinet, and the mixed doubles titles at the 2016 US Open with Laura Siegemund and the 2018 Australian Open with Gabriel Dabrowski, Pavic is a five-time Grand Slam Champion.

Pavic who is the first Croatian, of both sexes, to be world number 1 in singles or doubles has 31 doubles titles on the ATP Tour under his belt.

Mate won the 2018 Davis Cup with Croatia and Olympic gold in the men’s doubles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics alongside compatriot Nikola Mektic.
