Matthew Vincent Lattanzi is an American former actor and dancer.
He is most commonly recognized as the first husband of singer and actress Dame Olivia Newton-John, and for his acting in films such as My Tutor and the soap opera Paradise Beach.
Matt Lattanzi married his long-time, live-in girlfriend, Olivia Newton-John, in December 1984. The couple had met four years earlier while filming Xanadu. They divorced amicably in 1995.
According to People magazine, people close to the couple said that the disparity between her spiritual interests and his more earthly ones was a key factor in the dissolution. The couple remained friends.
Olivia passed away at her home in California, on August 8, 2022, at the age of 73.
