The American former professional baseball player and manager, Maurice Morning Wills, who was born on 2 October 1932 in Washington D.c., has passed away.
Wills, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Montreal Expos, died on September 19, 2022, in Sedona, Arizona, United States, at the age of 89.

His father was a minister who also worked as a machinist at the Washington Navy Yard.

The late basketball player started playing semi-professional baseball at the age of 14.
Wills, who attended Cardozo Senior High School where he played baseball, basketball, and football, made his MLB debut on June 6, 1959, for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
After retiring from baseball, he worked as a baseball analyst at NBC. Not only that, but Wills also became a manager in Mexican Pacific League for four seasons.
