Meredith Baxter Birney Young: Meredith Ann Baxter is an American actress and producer, who was born on June 21, 1947, in South Pasadena, California, United States.

She is known for her roles on the CBS sitcom Bridget Loves Bernie, ABC drama series Family and the NBC sitcom Family Ties.

She is a five-time Emmy Award nominee, and one of her nominations was for playing the title role in the 1992 TV film A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story.

Baxter made her debut on TV in 1972. She was one of the actors on Bridget Loves Bernie, a CBS network television comedy series that focuses on situations.

The show was pulled after just one season. The co-star of the show, David Birney, became her second husband in 1974.

Until they divorced in the year 1989, she was known with the name Meredith Baxter Birney, under the name that she became recognized in the year 1977 on Family.

Baxter played Nancy Lawrence Maitland and received two Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Continuous Acting by a supporting actress in the drama Series.
