Dee was born on October 30, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
She was most well-known for her job at the Chicago, Illinois television station as well as the national cable station WGN-TV in the role of anchor and reporter between 1972 and 1983, and as director of community relations from 1983 until the year 2008.
