Dee was most well-known for her job at the Chicago, Illinois television station as well as the national cable station WGN-TV in the role of anchor and reporter between 1972 and 1983, and as director of community relations from 1983 until the year 2008.
Dee was president and a member of the leadership council for the Illinois chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) from 2009 until her death in 2022.
She was born on October 30, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
