Midfielder Majeed Ashimeru Keen On Cementing A Place In Black Stars Under Chris Hughton

Black Stars midfielder, Majeed Ashimeru was in an excited mood during the Black Stars training session on Tuesday evening at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Black Stars are currently based in Kumasi where they will take on their Angolan counterparts. The team is training at the Baba Yara Stadium ahead of their 2023 AFCON qualifiers on Thursday.

Majeed Ashimeru who plies his trade with Belgian side RSC Anderlecht is among the midfielders called to the national team by head coach Chris Hughton.

He was very lively and a delight to watch as he put on display what he brings to the Black Stars team during the training session.

Ashimeru has in the past been blighted with injuries and sometimes left out of squads even when he was fit and on a good run of form.

The midfielder is determined to grab the opportunity given to him by the new head coach with his two feet and ensure that he cements his place in the national team.

Ghana on Thursday, 23 March, will host Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
