Milovan Rajevac Demands For Second Assistant Coach Amid Doubts Over Otto Addo’s Availability For AFCON

Milovan Rajevac, Ghana coach, has asked for an assistant after doubts about Otto Addo’s availability in Cameroon ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Serbian gaffer needs more hands in his backroom, including a physiotherapist, to prepare for the continental showpiece that will take place early next year.

Due to his involvement with Borussia Dortmund, there are serious doubts whether the former Ghanaian international will be available.

Dortmund will take part in key matches during the AFCON tournament, which could put Addo’s participation in jeopardy.

Milovan Rajevac demands another assistant coach, despite Maxwell Konadu being available as third in command.

Henry Asante Twum, spokesperson for Ghana FA, has confirmed that the 68-year-old had made the most recent demand.

Coach Milovan has requested for an additional assistant coach because Bundesliga will go on break for the Christmas, and we might not have Otto Addo for Black Stars duties, so there is the need to have a temporary assistant coach for Milovan for the AFCON games,” he said

To kick-start preparations for the continental showpiece in Cameroon in January 2022, The Black Stars will be camping in Doha, Qatar next week.
