Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu Wants ‘Weak’ Black Stars Technical Bench Strengthened Before AFCON

Hon. Haruna Iddrisu called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to improve the technical capabilities of the Black Stars in time for AFCON 2021.

The minority leader in Parliament
believes that the bench of the senior national team players is weak. He wants ex-players to join the backroom staff.

During Tuesday’s presentation by Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif, the Tamale South Member of Parliament stated that the Black Stars need a solid bench to win AFCON.

Coach Milovan Rajevac, however, has made it clear that he intends to improve his backroom staff in the lead-up to the January tournament.

He is deputized by Maxwell Konadu and Otto Addo, but the Serbian trainer would like a scout or a video analyst.

The Black Stars will depart Ghana for Qatar on December 22 to begin preparations in Qatar for the Nations Cup.

Ghana was drawn in Group C of Africa Cup of Nations along with Comoros Island, Gabon, and Morocco.
