Mo Brooks Parents: Morris Jackson Brooks, Betty J. Noland

Morris Jackson “Mo “Brooks Jr. was born on 29 April 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina.

He is an American attorney and politician serving as the U.S representative for Alabama’s 5th congressional district since 2011.

He is a Republican and is a founding member of the Freedom Caucus.

In 1972 he graduated from Grissom High School and went on to attend Duke University where he graduated with a double major in political science and economics.

In 1978 Brooks obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law. Morris worked at the Tuscaloosa County district attorney’s office at the start of his career.

Brooks considers himself a non-denominational Christian even though he still attends Mormon services.

He announced in 2017 that he has prostate cancer.
